Figure 1: Verifiable documentation in assessing LV and RV volumes. The figures in the top line illustrate the LV SV assessment by Doppler echocardiography resulting in a LV SV of 92 ml. The figures in the midline illustrate the conventional biplane LV volume assessment resulting in a LV EDV of 156 ml and a LV SV of 90 ml. The figures in the bottom line illustrate the three-dimensional volume assessment of the LV and RV resulting in a LV and RV EDV of 152 and 213 ml as well as in a LV and RV SV of 94 and 98 ml, respectively.
